The NDEVR OWL Online Viewer is a zero-install, browser-based interface that lets users view, annotate, and interact with complex 3D files in real time. Built for performance and security, the OWL Client integrates seamlessly with the OWL Server to deliver fast, encrypted access to spatial data — no plugins or software required.
Render high-resolution models with support for pan, zoom, rotate, and layer isolation. Navigate dense assemblies with smooth controls and responsive rendering.
Add comments, markups, and callouts directly on models. Annotations sync with version history and are tied to specific geometry.
Measure distances, angles, and surfaces with engineering-grade accuracy. Useful for QA, review, and design approval workflows.
Switch between historical versions, track changes, and compare revisions — all without leaving the browser.
Collaborate live via WebSocket. See cursor movement, comments, and object selections in real time across remote users.
Data is streamed over secure channels using user-specific encryption keys. Combined with per-session authorization, OWL ensures confidential model access.
Access 3D content from any modern browser, including on tablets and mobile devices. Responsive design ensures usability across screen sizes.
Built on WebAssembly for near-native performance, even when rendering high-polygon assets or running offline in edge deployments.
Select any file. For read only-shares the file must be supported. You may also choose to share the current project, if one is open.
You may select an Object Name. Each object is owned by you. If a duplicate object is found, you may resolve how to update the object
You have complete control over who can see the data you are uploading. A secure encrypted link ensures that only authorized recipients can view or edit the data.
You have complete control over what can be done with the data. You may choose to allow people to edit the data, or how long they have access to the data. You may also turn on or off certain permissions such as being able to export the data or allowing someone to use measurement tools.
Data is compressed, encrypted and sent to the requested OWL server. Unless “Public” is selected, the server itself receives only the encrypted data, whereas the key is locally used to create the link. Without the key, the data cannot be decrypted. Shared users have the link privately encoded to them where only they, or the user, can decode the data.
Share the link with trusted individuals, or use it internally to the company. Anyone with the encrypted link key can access the data with the selected permissions. For link based sharing, no account is needed, and no login needed.
The online viewer is free to use, and capable of rendering complex datasets.
Objects and versions can easily be managed. Permissions can be changed or revoked at any time through the OWL Menu.
